A lumbering beast which breath radioactive flames, Godzilla (ゴジラ) not only dominated Japanese cinema since its introduction in 1954, it also captures every kaiju fans’ imaginations. Commemorating its 55th this year, Toho Studio, the entity which created Godzilla and subsequent monsters, in conjunction with Casio, will release a limited edition Godzilla G-Shock. Based on the DW-6900 model, the back plate included engraving of the name “Godzilla” in Japanese katakana characters. Imprinted on the wrist band are markings simulating Godzilla’s jagged spine. The pattern also covered much of the packaging. Activate the EL backlight reveals a holographic image of Godzilla. Numbered at 1000 units worldwide, the watch is only available at selected G-Shock retailers, including Fieil at ZOZOTOWN.
